Anyone know of a Unity book?
Will Goldstone, forum member, knowledgeable user and producer of tutorials already, is writing one now. 
Other than that I’m not aware of any books about Unity in particular (obviously lots about JavaScript and C#, just not in the context of our tool).
I am sooo glad he Will Goldstone is doing a book.

@shader: ask Will, he’s here on the forums (I think months and yes a physical book, but he’ll have to confirm details).
Yeah he mentioned he was writing a book in reply to my email to him about his log in sytem being a bit borked; I hope it will be in e-book form as i recall a number of promised titles on the Source engine some years back never making it through the publishing deals etc,even though you could pre-order them at Amazon and others :roll: Would be a shame for a Unity book to become subject to similar business wranglings…
I’d buy it, I’m sure many others would too in electronic document form, so I suppose if one is dilligent about copywriting etc one could cut out alot of middlemen these days?

I just got the RAW version and the parts of the book finished so far (4 of the 11 chapters) amount to 113 pages. I’ve only skimmed the pdf briefly in Preview but it looks rather good for the money - especially the 40% off pre-order offer

I purchased the book a week ago
If I try to place the trees , my portable PC with 2.6 free version, immediately crashes ( just 1 click )
No problem with 2.5 commercial version on the desk top
