Unity3D does work consistently on Yosemite... right?

Hiya, so I often use Unity with OSX Maverick or Lion or something, point is it works. I’m considering upgrading to Yosemite and might get a Macbook Pro (which nowadays come with Yosemite) but seeing topics like http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/ive-been-update-os-x-to-yosemite-and-then-my-unity-cant-open.274984/ with all these bizarre issues going on makes me very uncertain, but can’t be sure since a lot of stuff I’ve been reading spans at varying amounts of times over 2014.
I see workarounds in the Known Bugs topic, but I’m a student and aspiring independent developer and losing access to Unity would be catastrophic, so I’m really reluctant to upgrade and grab a laptop without hearing enough stories that they have Yosemite fully cooperating with Unity with or without having to tweak and workaround a bunch of things.

I’m probably overkilling by throwing a question up here for this kind of thing, but it doesn’t seem like anyone who does have Unity+Yosemite fully functional with little to no tweaking is speaking out, which doesn’t paint a pretty picture for me.

Some older Macs seem to have a licensing problem when upgraded to Yosemite. We think we’ve fixed this licensing problem, though.
