I got UnityRemote compiled and installed, cable and ad-hoc network set up, but still no response from the iPod Touch (2nd gen) or video feed from Unity to the iPod.
Any pointers?

Hey Petter
should not need a cable (all wireless). Make sure you have the app ready to play in the editor, touch the icon on the iPhone/touch (Unity Remote) and it should give you a list of available devices. Click and then then you should get a splash screen ‘waiting for game view press play in the editor’ - cmd p on the mac and thats it.
I had some issues yesterday thinking that it did not work but sometimes you have to close down the remote and fire it back up again on the iphone for it to pick it up.
… a few minutes later and a talk with Sam Kalman asking me: “Do you have the firewall turned on?” DOH! So yes, turn it off
Edit: Thanks for the suggestions Steve
