I think sometimes it is due to Unity upgrade, but other times it just happened for no reason at all.
It is bit of annoyance and I hope UT would fix it.
Speaking of weird things the launcher does… have you ever noticed the new project “2D” and “3D” options switch places every so often? It caught me a few times before I realized what was happening.

Happens to me all the time, is it random? Seems like a complex algorithm that predicts what I want to make then does the opposite.

I haven’t seen any indication of a pattern. At least for me.
It does? Were you switching between 2D and 3D projects? So remembering the last type of project you were doing? (I imagine it’s that smart but I don’t think it is) Could you nab a screenshot next time? you notice it?
I don’t know why it loses it’s remembering, could be when you download a new Unity version or there is a set session timeout on the server. I’ll look into it.
No, Windows 7 x64. I’ll be switching to Linux tho as soon as there’s native Linux editor.
No, happens even when not updating (when I made this topic it happened for the third time that week to me). So session timeout is probably the culprit.
Anyway, why do we have to log in just to use Personal version? I’d understand such thing for Pro, but for Personal? IMO launcher in 4.x was better - it looked worse but at least it worked properly.
Also when it remembers, it sticks on “Connecting…” thing for up to 15 seconds before going to the list of projects.
I’ve had it happen to me while I was playing my game in the preview window. Very annoying and it pops up at the most inopportune times.
Can you not just go work offline every time?
You should be able to just hit work offline if you want and I don’t think it pops up again.

remember me box doesn’t work for personal version ,but it works for professional version.
