Importing skin shaders from 3rd party character software like DAZ and Reallusion typically produces less than stellar (terrible) results compared to what it looks like in the 3d party’s software. It would be great if Unity worked with these companies to make out lives 100% easier.
I spent countless hours revising a DAZ character’s skin textures and materials to work with the Heretic demo shaders. While the results were much better than the results produced by DAZ’s Unity export tool, it never got close to looking as good as it does in DAZ. I’m primarily a programmer and not a textures / shaders / materials guy, so this is a real struggle for me as I’m sure it is for many others.
Can you help us out?
Cheers!
