UnityVS debugger freeze Unity 4.5.1

Hi!

Recently I’ve moved from MD to VS using the (now free) UnityVS plugin. I’m using Unity 4.5.1 and VS2010 (licensed both).

It all worked really fine until I started to attach/detach repeatedly the debugger on VS2010: Unity freezes and I’ve to force its quit.

Has someone had a similar issue?
Is there a “right way” (and then an “wrong way”) to attach/detach the VS debugger to Unity?

Looks like it’s a known issue regarding to the official docs:

“When being debugged, Unity can freeze. This is also related to the fact that their scripting engine is an old version which is prone to deadlocks.”

I have no such issues though, but I’m on VS 2013 and Unity 4.5.2p1.
