I’ve connected series of rectangles with hinge joints and have been experimenting with the “Pivot Axis” of a hinge joint to try and simulate a flexible cable. The problem I’m having is that hinge joints seem to need 1 rigid axis. Is there a way to simulate a “universal joint” (a joint that can pivot on all axis)?
Thanks!
The character joint can do this.
…aahhh… very good, thanks Joachim!
… unfortunately there aren’t any docs (well almost no docs, just a paragraph) on a “character joint”. I’m trying to set up a joint that will pivot in the X and Y axis, but not twist (in the Z axis?). Any suggestions? What do “high / low twist limit” and “Bounciness” do? If I set the twist limit to 0, it still twists so I’m missing something.
EDIT: Never mind, I think I’ve figured it out…
