I hope I am not recreating something that has already been written and answered but here goes. I downloaded the Unity 3.3 yesterday and installed it. After what appears to be a successful install I tried to open it and get an error:
Unity Editor has stopped working, A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
I have tried running the program as an Administrator, uninstalling and reinstalling the program several times, with updating all drivers cleaning up my registry and every other tip or trick I could find about people having troubles with Unity with one exception…I have not reinstalled my operating system; I am hoping not to resort to that because I have too much information on my computer that I really dont want to loose so I can intall 1 piece of software. I am running Windows Vista 64 bit OS, and am at my wits end trying to figure this out. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated and if you need any further information I’ll provide what I can.
