Hello!
I’ve just released my first Unity Ads supported game. I have a number of ad units configured, a few of which never made it to the production build (but are still configured and active)
As a result, I am seeing the following message in the Unity Dashboard…
Placement has not seen impressions for the last 30 days. Do you want to archive it to reduce latency and increase fill for other active placements?
Does having unused ad units really impact latency and\or fill rates?
I am going to archive them anyway, but just wanted to understand the implications of keeping them active.
Hi,
Used placements will not influence your latency or fill rate. However, if you will not use them anymore, we recommend you archive them.

Thanks for confirming @LIU_Hanyang96
Hi @LIU_Hanyang96
So I’ve managed to archive most of the ad units, but am unable to archive two of them.
I have the following reward units…
Android_Rewarded = (Skippable Reward, Unable to Archive - Edit Option Only)
Android_Rewarded_1 = (Non-Skippable Reward, Keep)
iOS_Rewarded = (Skippable Reward, Unable to Archive - Edit Option Only)
iOS_Rewarded_1 = (Non-Skippable Reward, Keep)
I guess it’s possible to work around this by renaming them (i.e. swap them) and changing all the values, but I would really rather not start messing around with production (tested\proven) units.
Why is Unity not allowing these to be archived as I don’t believe the “_1” and “_2” ad units (etc) are parented to them?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Hi,
For some old projects, we may contain some default ad units which can be archived. May you provide your game id? I can help check it.
