Just wanted to share some of the work I am doing on our upcoming iPad 2 underwater platformer. Character sculpts straight out of Mudbox and composited in Photoshop. Maps generated form these sculpts used in Unity engine at runtime. Model and uvs created in Modo, animation will be done in Maya.
These look great! Very colorful, bright art style. I’d love to see some sort of bioluminescence thing going in dark environments - that would look awesome =)
They will be animated as they are the archetypes from the game that you can pick from. The Ancient Guardian is an NPC the player will interact with in-game. They will be animated with bones/IK in Maya.
How many vert’s are these? Is the game going to be for just the iPad 2 and iPhone 5 or will it support older gen devices? They look awsome though, I am sure if the game doesn’t sell, you could sell those models for a lot.
Game will be for iPad 2, iPhone 5, Mac and windows. iPad 2(and most likely iPhone5) will be for the initial release. Final in game character models are 2-2.8k ploys. Thanks for the comments everyone. Have a great day!
