Update for App was rejected? Share your app rejection story?

Hi,

My app was approved on the 22nd of August. Everything was fine except that there were reports of crashes on the iPhone 3G and older versions of iPod Touch devices. So what I did was only compressed the images used in the app. Testing shows it works fine now on the 3G so it was submitted on the 25th of August. It was rejected today with the reason:

I didn’t understand that one until someone told me it might be because of the loading screen since it has the picture of the app’s character in a frame that looks like a polaroid :stuck_out_tongue:

So what I’d like to know being my first experience and all, is it normal for something like this to happen? Where they’d noticed a problem the second time and not the first? I don’t mind fixing it if the frame is an issue but wish I was told that before the 1st version was submitted. It can effect the sales of the app as well since now I have to wait for a newer version to be approved.

Here’s a link to the app if anyone is curious:

What’s your app rejection story? Maybe this can help future developers to look into before submitting an app.

Thanks.

Well that’s odd. But hopefully an easy fix haha.

No horror stories for me…YET.

knocks on wood

I had an app rejected because it resembled political figures. Granted, I was bashing both parties equally but that is a no-no in their eyes. After several rounds of cutting things out I had no game left and ended up pulling the project completely.

When Unity supports Android (non-pro,) I will probably make it for the Android market.

I had another game that they said didn’t work on a specific generation of iPhone. I compiled and installed it on a friends phone with no problems. Resubmitted, and it passed.

The only real “horror” story is in the political parody game that went nowhere.
