Update on an Instantiate?

Sorry, new to JS so many simple and odd questions. I am instantiating items (missles) off of a craft while in motion, but the at runtime it does not seem to be accessing the Update portion of the missles to track a target.

If I include the missle tracking in with the parent craft script it works fine, so my code seems solid. Am I missing something with regards to having the Update portion of an instantiated item accessed at runtime?


Only thing I can easily suggest is, if your missiles are a composite of several GameObjects (Mesh, Script, Rigidbody), which I suspect they are, then make sure you are instantiating a Prefab of the composite GameObject and not just the Transform of the Mesh.
