hi. im new here so yeah, but today unity update checker said there was an update, so I clicked download new version, and it send me to the LTS page for some reason and didn’t start the update download, am I doing something wrong? please help
Unity doesn’t update like most software. An update in Unity speak means you download an entire new version. You can have as many different versions of Unity installed at the same time as your disk space will allow.
Generally speaking though you should ignore any update suggestions outside of the rare security vulnerability which gets patched, unless the new version of Unity addresses a problem you need fixed, or you’re in between projects. Updating Unity versions in the middle of a project for no reason other than the version number is higher is an easy way to generate days or even weeks of extra work for yourself.
