I want to update the displacement map (disp1.png, disp2.png … dispN.png) for each frame. How does it work?
public class MoveLayer : MonoBehaviour {
public GameObject ref_Wall;
private Plane p;
// Use this for initialization
void Start () {
p = Instantiate(ref_Wall);
...}
void Update () {
//add the displacement map to p
}
Well you’d adjust the material or use a render texture.
Could you give me a source example (I am a beginner)?
How do you adjust the heightmap of the material during rendering? Of cause you can do GetComponent<Renderer>().material.mainTexture = inputTexture[index];
and this will change the RGB values but not the heightmap. Solutions?
SetFloat, SetTexture etc etc. Read docs
Eg. Unity - Scripting API: Material.SetTexture
The command is also listed in Unity - Scripting API: Material
All this stuff is in the docs and pretty straightforward, so if you’re dealing with materials, it pays to read all the material docs bits
