Updated a TextMeshPro, All The Components in the Scene Are Called "Nothing Selected"

I have too much text in my scene to manually recreate all the text, but I tried anyways.
I couldn’t even try because the component is missing from the ‘Add Component’ menu. Is TMP borked on 2017?

May be the same version on the asset store. I just haven’t had any issues updating TMP. If you click the little circle next to the script name, you can’t find the TextMeshProUGUI script?

I reverted to a previous revision where TMP wasn’t messed up and then tried installing the package on the download link thread and it still got messed up.

I always have problems upgrading TMP so I don’t do it unless it’s necessary. The reason I’m trying to upgrade is because it throws an error whenever I click on or delete a TMP text object.

The one thing is it does claim you have compile errors, which would keep it from properly displaying the script. Do you see any compile errors in the console?
