For some reason, I get regular spikes in the GPU profiler, with “UpdateReflectionProbeAtlas” being the culprit. This is very strange, considering I don’t have any Reflection Probes in the scene, and I have disabled Global Illumination and everything else I could think of that might cause this to show up. Any clue as to what could be going on?
Update – this doesn’t seem to be showing up when I connect the profiler to a build instead of the Editor.
Scene view window seems to be causing this. Close it or hide as inactive tab and this marker goes away.
I couldn’t work out the fix but this issue went away from I upgraded my unity version, I didn’t have to switch from Forward+ or anything thankfully
