Upgrade 5.6.7 to 2020.3.9 -> TMPro scripts missing

Just tried with 2018.2, here it does not work too. So obviously not an issue with 5.6. → 2020.3.
In both versions the script disappears as soon as the old textmeshpro folder is removed after the remapping. So maybe something with the remapping? The files are correctly scanned and saved there.

Is this in a new project or existing project? If existing project, it is possible that you might need to use an alternative set of GUIDs which is explained in this [post]( Migrating from Legacy / Asset Store to Package Manager Releases page-4#post-3535339).
