My Desktop no longer works, wanted me to register my copy of Unity Pro and Unity for iPhone and my laptop no longer works, wants me to register my copy of Unity Pro and Unity for iPhone, I installed it on my PC and got the same message so I removed it from my PC, so here I sit, with Unity / iPhone Basic installed on desktop and MacBook Pro (NOTE JUST 2 MACHINE INSTALLS) and I can’t use it AT ALL. I have created a ticket about this, but wanted to let everyone BEWARE do NOT install Snow Leopard or you will loose your ability to use Unity on those machines until Unity decides to reset your installations.
I haven’t had any issues with Snow Leopard and Unity. You can always back up your Unity license file if you’re worried, or if you want to do a clean install instead of an in-place upgrade.
well that are 2 of 2 valid installations you have with a license actually (you don’t have two installs for iphone and two for desktop)
different OS = new installation, as mentioned different times on the board when asked in relation to windows XP / Vista / Win7 …
thats the reason why I’m currently waiting to install 10.6 (have it since early friday morning), I first want to wait till the support got out of the first reinit wave
If you activate on 10.5, and want to ensure you won’t use another activation on 10.6, back up and copy over the /Library/Application Support/PACE Anti-Piracy folder to Snow Leopard (in particular License Files/Unity_v2.x.ilf).
An in-place Snow Leopard upgrade should work just fine, though…
They are very good and highly responsive about if. I think my panic attack lasted longer than the time between creating the ticket and the response with a fix.
