Upgrading to Unity 2018 Particle issue

I’ve a problem when upgrading my project from unity 5.6.4 to unity 2018. Overall the game runs much smoother and in the editor shows no issue at all. The problem occurs when exporting the game for Android where the particle system just doesn’t behave as expected in the editor. The main problems are that calling the play() method doesn’t emit start the particles to emit and for the other play on awake particles their rate is so much lower than in the editor.
I really don’t know where the issue can be. Has someone had this problem before? Thank you for any suggestion
