I finally found a workaround to uploading a Unity game to Kong. Its not pretty but it works. Ill summarize it as best as i can. It is meant for people with limited resources, and the game can be used at any of the sites it is passed through.
-
Build your game as a web player file, pick all the settings you want.
-
Go to https://sites.google.com/ and create a page. After you have done this click add page and make a “file cabinet”. Upload your web player file to the cabinet and copy the download URL.
-
Go to http://pastehtml.com/ and enter in :
<body bgcolor="#ffffff" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0">
<object id="UnityObject" classid="clsid:444785F1-DE89-4295-863A-D46C3A781394"
width="600" height="450"
codebase="http://webplayer.unity3d.com/download_webplayer/UnityWebPlayer.cab#version=2,0,0,0">
<param name="src" value="MyDataFile.unity3d" />
<embed id="UnityEmbed" src="MyDataFile.unity3d" width="600" height="450"
type="application/vnd.unity" pluginspage="http://www.unity3d.com/unity-web-player-2.x" />
</object>
substite MyDataFile.unity3d with the download link for the Google file cabinet, and fix the widths and hights.
-
Click “Publish Page” then once the example loads check to see if the game works, then click “Publish Page” again and copy the provided URL.
-
Go to Discover and Play Free Online Games on Kongregate! and enter in the desired information. In “iFrame URL” enter in the URL that you got at http://pastehtml.com/. Correct the widths and heights.
-
Now is the moment of truth. Click submit, and your game in all of its glory should appear in the Kongregate game area. If it does, consult to Kreds & Virtual Goods for the rest of info considering using Kongregate achievements, micro payments, and the complete list of requirements needed for your upload to be approved.
