UrbanPad special 29 Dollars!!

Here’s an offer that you might want to take up - Procedural city creation software worth lots for 29 bucks. There’s a 2nd October deadline, so - get on in.

GAMR7-Urban Pad

For those unaware of this software, and how frickn cool it is :

Ürban PAD is a city creation tool, designed from the start to ease and speed up creation. A fully integrated professional application, Ürban PAD automates your processes and integrates easily into any pipeline. With Ürban PAD, you can create a full city in an hour and edit or reuse this city as you want.

Many poast on this subject.

I should have kept eating my toast.

So you know, this is Windows only but they say if enough Mac people show an interest they will port it.

Personally though, they go on an one about how simple it is and how quickly you can do it, but it all looks rather … bland … fake… boring, actually. I guess since it has substance support this can be changed easily enough, but the samples they show look really nebbish in my opinion. Look ma, my roof has 2 slants! Look ma, my wall is flat with a texture applied.

I’m not saying this software isn’t cool or anything, just that the examples they use to show it off are very boring and completely uninspired.

This is really nice offer!

Well, I bought… I don’t miss that kind of software for 29$…
Only other engine which great examples and cool stuff in it is CityEngine and its lots of money…

Just bought it  Can’t afford CityEngine either and this one looks good.Gonna spread the word too

Let’s all get this cheap for $30 while we can instead of $700 later on after the shareit goal !

94%… hopefully we’ll reach the 100%

An error has occured:
TclError("Can’t find a usable init.tcl in the following directories:

Same error as 2.9 version, they said, ‘try the new version’

Bought… It’s the last day…

Come on only a few percent more how buy it and we economise 770$ !!!

the website says the last day is October 3 ,2011 > get it while you can

Academic institutions $700 per seat

$28 Indie License
Companies or incorporated entities that had a turnover in excess of US$100,000 in their last fiscal year must use Ürban PAD Pro.

Urban Pro $7000 That is quite a chunk of change for any indie to absorb

Not particularly in love with the price at the start and certainly not at the end. within the terms of the license, and the Indie one shot deal well i can easily walk from this

fact is opening my financial ledger too some 3rd party would seem undesirable at the best of times.
Its already distasteful with the GOV. or the IRS

Wow ! If you can make US$100,000 or more in a fiscal year that would be sweet ! Maybe if i used UrbanPAD i might make a dollar or two but not that much !

This is the norm for so many software licenses with an indie option that I’m surprised you haven’t come across it before. As for opening your books - you’re compelled to buy pro when and if you meet that turnover - you’re not required (nor can you be) to turn over any kind of records for inspection - that would be insane.

Actually best check the license on that. Many programs that you buy that have either a limit on income or that you agree to pay a percentage of revenue for include clauses that the company is allowed to perform audits to make sure you are paying what you owe. Even packages that don’t have those restrictions often include requirements that the company be allowed to come onsite and audit your software usage to make sure you aren’t violating license agreements.

As if anyone other than Autodesk or Adobe actually have the resources to enforce that. And I doubt the legality of it outside of the US.

Regarding audits - you can check the solvency of any publicly listed company. A company or individual, however, cannot go over the financial records of a privately held business.

99%… I guess we failed :frowning:

If they do some retarded thing and say “well we didn’t quite make it but you can have it for $150”, i’ll be pissed.

It’s done and confirmed… see gossip thread
