URP + AR Foundation Background renderer not working in 2022.1

I am using AR Foundation 4.2.3 release, Unity 2022.1.6f1 with URP 13.1.8 and I am getting the ‘black screen’ issue on iOS. This has cropped up before in previous combinations of URP and AR Foundation. I’ve also posted this question in the AR forum and I haven’t seen reports of others having this issue so not sure where to ask.

This is a new, empty project set up with the URP Core template. The camera is running on the device and plane recognition is working, so I know the problem is related to the background rendererer. This thread has screenshots to check all the settings, and I have done that.

Is this a known bug? Are there any ways to workaround this and get background rendering working again? My AR development is at a standstill until I can get this working again. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Just as a follow up, a downgrade to Unity 2021.2.7f1 LTS, AR Foundation 4.2.3 release and URP 12.1.2 did bring back the background renderer without destroying my new, empty test project. However, I’m reluctant to do the same to my fairly massive real project.

Here the same. With the 2021 too. I try to do everything and fallowing videos and online tutorials but not working. At least now I know that this isn’t my fault.
