The URP particle lit shader has a flag for soft particles. Is there a way to have soft particles with a Shader Graph lit particle shader? _SOFTPARTICLES_ON?
There are some subgraphs including soft particle in vfx graph sample assets. you can use it for your shader graph shader.

Hi, I’m new to Unity. anyway to know how to connect soft particles into shader graph? When I connect it to the Alpha input, it makes the particle always appear behind other meshes. Why does that happen?
Came across this post looking for a solution to implementing soft edges (like the ones in the soft particle shader) in a regular shader graph.
The solution that ended up working for me was to recreate this subgraph here and to multiply its output with my shader’s opacity.
You need to have “Depth Texture” enabled in your RP asset for it to work, so if you’re developing for mobile / standalone VR make sure your perfomance budget can handle that. A distance value of 2 worked well for me.
The subshader was created by Youtuber Ben Cloward and works really well, so all credit goes to him.
