User reports failing to upload

I’m having two issues. First, just logging into Cloud Diagnostics to view User Reports, I’m just getting a wait spinner:

I see the Unity Cloud status site doesn’t show any outages, but it only specifically lists Cloud Diagnostics (Crash Reporting), not User Reports. https://status.cloud.unity3d.com/

I’m also mostly getting errors when trying to submit User Reports right now. I can’t tell what the error is, because the API only gives me a success boolean, but no specific error message:

Action<bool, UserReport> onCompleteCallback = (success, userReport) =>

Are User Reports experiencing an outage right now?

My users are submitting feedback, but it’s just sitting there not finishing in a timely fashion. Is there anything in the API to control how long to wait for the feedback to submit? Users are currently killing the process thinking the game has locked up, because the error timeout is really high. It seems to take two minutes before the timeout finally occurs. Is there some way to control how long to allow the timeout to be, so I can halt the feedback submission early if it’s not submitting?

We’re seeing the same problems as well.

Hi @dgoyette and @rajantande , User Reporting is currently experiencing an outage. Our team is investigating it now and we will update you when we have more information. Thank you for your patience and we will work to resolve this as quickly as possible.

We’ve recently stabilized the service. A Project was overloading the service with several incoming reports a second, which was more than we could handle. We’ve since scaled up our backend so that everyone should be able to access their user reports now. Please let us know if you are running into any issues with accessing your reports.

Thanks @Ryan-Unity . I can confirm that we can see user reports again.

Thanks, @Ryan-Unity . All’s well for me too. Assuming occasional future outages are inevitable, are there any plans to make the client handle outages a bit better? Per my other thread on this, the timeout for submission seems to be two minutes, and users generally won’t wait that long. And it doesn’t seem like the Post request is cancellable.

Hi @dgoyette , we are actively working to make these kinds of outages directly affect all users in the future. Per your other thread, I’ll be reaching out to our dev for input on that and get back to you when I have a response. Thank you for your feedback!

The same issue appears to be happening again. Users are getting timeouts trying to submit feedback, and I just see a wait spinner when I try to view user-reports on cloud diagnostics.

We’re so sorry that you’re seeing this issue again. We have a ticket open for this outage that some users are experiencing and will update here with more information. If you have more questions, feel free to submit a Support Ticket and ask for information on UCD-323. We expect to have this resolved soon.

Thanks.

During the outage, one user tried to submit a report. My dashboard shows the report, but clicking on it just goes to a white screen. Here the ID for the report in case you think it’s worth investigating why the report seems to be only partially complete: 4fc4ad66-ea6c-49e7-bdb3-6a149c2c3ffc

Hate to tell ya but this is still taking forever to upload a small crash log file, what are you scanning on my entire HD that requires such a long upload time, you should not require an open connection for a download link, it either times out or moves through the loading process, what exactly is your team doing here? what else are you looking at in my drive while this connection remains open for such a long time to pass a small txt file a few kb in size on my tested 90mbps speed.

Is it because i use SSD and not spinning disc drives and your new software that spies on everyone can’t read the drive right so it’s going into long load states trying to read something it can’t read, noticed this by chance when Steam was trying to survey my machine and they couldn’t detect my HD so i’m guessing this is doing something on the same lines, not detecting flash memory drives to upload information from.

Stop bullshiting people ok, get out of my PC and just grab the error log file don’t go snooping or cloning or remoting your shit round my stuff!

At this upload rate i’m sure you’re cloning my whole HD right. I have probably slowed down to your shit transfer rate while you rip my entire contents right!

Thats why people are cancling the error log reply because what your server can’t handle minimal note pad
