User Reports UX is not great

I’m experiencing a ton of issues and annoying UX problems with User Reports:

Bugs:

  1. Client-side screenshots are not updating when calling TakeScreenshot(), often resulting in reports re-using old screenshots from previous reports. Once submitted, a report will have 5-6 screenshots all taken inside the bug report form. It’s a complete mess.
  2. Descriptions are sometimes duplicated so a single report will have the same description several times
  3. Custom meta data is visible in the filter list on the overview page and the .json (so I’m certain it is being set), but there is nowhere in the UI where I can see them.
  4. Same for attachments - they are present in the .json, but in most cases not in the UI (and when they are visible, the same attachment is usually listed several times). Again, a complete mess.

UX woes:

  1. Showing pages of 5 screenshots and then having to click each one to make changes is a nightmare. Please provide a flat list instead with just the description and title, and allow delete/download/tag buttons for each item explicitly so I don’t have to first open it.
  2. Going back from the detail page to the overview, will reload the entire list from the start, requiring me to painstakingly go to back where I was, one page at a time. I normally open in a separate tab to avoid this, but it’s very easy to accidentally forget. Please at the very least just force open in another tab so the overview does not get reloaded (Ideally, remember where I was and reload there).
  3. There is no way to mark a report as “handled” (I.e. keep it, but filter it so I can focus on new/unhandled items)
  4. There is no way to group multiple reports of the same error (Could there at least be a way to tag a report with a custom string?)

To be honest, this entire “service” feels way less than half baked.
