Using 12 Audio Outputs in Unity

Hello,

We’re doing an art installation, and we’re wondering whether it’s possible to output audio to 12 different outputs. We’re looking to send certain audio files to different audio outputs that will be headphones whilst being able to send audio through a 3D 7.1 configuration.

So the set up would be

  • 8 audio channels - 7.1 surround set up
  • 1 audio channel - headphone cue triggered by locations
  • 1 audio channel - headphone cue triggered by other locations.
  • 2 audio channels - a mix of headphone triggers for monitoring

We are using the Babyface Pro with ADAT connectivity for our audio outputs.

Is this possible?

UPDATE: We may have found a way to complete this with Pure Data, as there are multiple DAC outputs available. I have not managed to set it up yet, but will have an attempt this evening.

Has anyone else had success with this yet?
