I created a room filled with lights and made a beast light map with it… so far great. Now i need to use this room in a couple of scenes. How do i go about doing this?
I tried creating a prefab with the room and the lights to drag over… but when i do that the lightmap info is missing in the new scene. Whats worse is that when i try to rebake the lightmaps off the prefab i get an error in the console that says “Beast error: 3: Duplicate name
Duplicate uv layer name.”
It also does not bake any lightmap… it just cancels it. What do I do?
Quck update… because of unities stupid prefab system… i just lost all of my work on lighting the room… I assigned the room and all the lights to a prefab… dragged them into a scene… when i modified a light and hit apply … all of a sudden every object got deleted in the prefab and it was totally undoable… (INSERT PROFANITY HERE)…
Actually it happened once before as well… the last time i modified a light and hit apply just on the light and it deleted everything out of the scene and out of hte prefab except for that light…
This time i selected all and hit apply in the upper right and it deleted it all except for 1 object… i mean im jsut pissed… wow… Somebody throw me a clue here… how do u use the prefab system? or tell me if this is some sort of bug.
