I wonder if it could be possible, to use an Iphone, or an Ipad, as a remoted mouse, or a 3D mouse to fly in my 3D simulation like when I use Unity Remote to walk around the demo scene of “star Trooper”, but for a “normal” project, not an IOS project…
I use Unity in a show, and i would like to get down the scene to go with the public, and use my Ipod as a mouse…
Is there some script, or soft I could use to do that ?
I just yesterday watched a presentation on YouTube that did exactly what you’re asking. The presentation itself is about 2D solutions in 3D, but at the end of the presentation they use tools called Brass Monkey that allow you to use phones or pads connected over the network to control the main game. They allow people in the audience to play their “Smuggler Truck” game running on a computer while using the phone, including using the tilt of the phone to control the tilt of the truck.
We are about to submit a tool to the asset store to do just that…

Here you can test our app already… Integrating it from a developers side is really easy too!
custom input manager
UNDERcontrol developer features:
-Push images to device screen
-Push custom messages to device screen
-Push custom input controls to device screen7
for more traditional control, theres joypad, which converts an idevice into a gamepad look for it in the app store, you can program for it or you can use the desktop client and make it work like an orinary gamepad with other apps
There is of course also “air mouse”, which will let you use your iphone as a mouse by waving it around wii-mote style. It gets annoying after awhile for real work, but it’s handy for presentations.
You may also consider R-HUB in-house and secure remote support servers for remote control using iphone or ipad. It supports all platforms such as Windows, Mac, iOS and Android.
