using .blend files

i am exporting basic files from blend to test… and i find 2 things, first i have to save the file in object mode in blender to can use the file (if i save it on edit mode, i cant see the model)

my concern is that every .blend file imported give an animation, material and rig. Its posible to only pass the mesh without all the extras?

You can either disable the import of animations and skeleton in the import settings (select the blend file from Unity’s explorer and it should appear in the inspector), or manually export the fbx file from blender to the project folder and keep the blend file somewhere else.
