Using imported model's animation

Hi I imported my blender model to unity. The animation is there in the projects window but the problem is that I could not apply the animation to the object. When I drag the object to the scene there is no animation attached to the object. If I manually create the animations component and create an animation script unity it gives me this error:
The animation state ringRot could not be played because it couldn’t be found!

I could see the animation being played in the sidebar but I cant seem to have it played in the scene.


I solved this by just making the rig into legacy for anyone having the same problem
