Using the color that is drawn on the screen.

Hi

I’m new to shaders so I don’t know if this is possible, but anyway.
If I write a shader which draws in the “Transparent+10” queue (or any other queue, doesn’t matter), can I access the color which has already been drawn to the screen and then manipulate that color to make it grayscale or make it more red or anything?

Thanks in advance!

I think you are looking for the GrabPass pass type.

Perfect!!! Just what I was looking for!
But wait… I hope this isn’t pro only, is it?

yes it is

Thats correct I fear, grabpass is a Pro only functionality although the GrabPass documentation does not state so (perhaps it changed, perhaps I’m wrong, perhaps the doc is not complete on that fact)

But you can still copy stuff around manually using ReadPixels and SetPixels from script

Darn, well I guess it could work with a simple multiply shader. :frowning:
