Using tutorials?

I am going to start making a game soon, i have most of the concepts down, but what i wanted to know is…v do you guys (who have made a game) use tutorials and other things as a reference if you cannot fully understand or remember something? Just asking.

Yes I did and it was really helpful.

All the time. There is nothing wrong with using tutorials as references. Tutorials can be used to help you understand what you are trying to do.

I just thought that, if i was going to sell a game for example, if i used tutorials somewhere in the game then its not professional anymore :S

I’m not the tutorial kind of person, as I like writing my own code rather than copying somebody else’s. I use the scripting reference and ask questions when I get stuck. I often find the answer myself, though, through trial and error.

Well i see your concern but remember there are a few important things to remember.

  1. Dont forget to turn off the turnoids
  2. Relaunch the vector power heaters
  3. Feel free to do your own thing on the nipple pinchers. (my favorite)

I like your Prof. Pic

I only use forums and MSDN, the better c# equivalent of the severely lacking unity docs.
