Using Unity 3d for Regular Cross Platform App Development

I was looking into different engines for iOS and Android and I really like what Unity 3D has to offer. I was wondering if its feasible or not to use a Unity as a platform for creating hi performance cross platform apps that are not games?

Depends on what you mean by ‘game’. I’ve been using it for years for real-world and mirror-world stuff, nothing I would call a ‘game’ per-se. It’s overkill if you want a stock-ticker app. If you need great 3D graphics, it’s the right choice.
