Vector direction for a reticle

We are working in uniwii trying to get a reticle on the screen. 2 solutions we are trying to come up with are how to create a Vector3 in the direction of the reticle (the reticle moves based on where the wiimote is pointing) and then we need a collision to occur wherever our reticle is pointing. Suggestions?
