Hi,

I don’t find anything about unit in Vector3.Distance/magnitude.

If I use the Vector3.Distance , what will be the return value unit? For me, i want to calculate the distance in any one of meter/km/miles/feets.

EDIT: Need the unit for mass also. For force calculation , I need the mass in pounds/kg.

Thanks

Well if you use Vector3.distance, the parameters are two Vector3’s, and what it returns is the float of the distance in Unity units between the two Vector3’s. Im not sure how to use real world units, but maybe someone else can help you there.

A unit is a unit. If you wish to assign a real world meaning to a unit - e.g. kilometer, then that’s a convention you have to follow yourself.

FYI: The engine is tuned that 1 unit = 1 meter in a FPS like game.

Like distance, a unit is a unit. It’s whatever you say it is.
