Vendors are not allowed to resell other vendors’s asset outside the asset store without permission. If this is discovered, that vendor should be removed from the asset store. It is unethical to sell Asset store items outside the Asset Store.
What nonsense is this,
A vendor gets banned on forums due to illegal activities, why is that vendor still on the asset store?
How will that vendor do support? How will that vendor respond to questions by others?
Vendors themselves should not be doing illegal activities, taking assets for resale (i.e., projects for sale), doing funny business (taking other people’s assets and then claiming as your own).
Also, this reminds me of EA’s mich loathed policy to ban people from playing their games if they got banned on the forums for whatever reason (some of them not making sense, too). I say unless a vendor violates the Asset Store’s EULA he shouldn’t be banned for things he did or didn’t outside of it.
It should be a case-by-case scenario(which I suspect it already is). There is no reason someone should have their assets removed just because they spammed or trolled people consistently.
Well someone was temp banned for going off on one to me on PM’s but his products are still good and people still have a bad day sometimes. He is still a valid member of the community. I disagree with OP’s blanket statement. People do have a bad day sometimes.
If the user is banned for the reason of fraud, then that user should have assets removed on a case-by-case basis, not a blanket rule or anything. I’m sure you can use the report button on the asset store to report any nefarious doings instead of banning people because they had a bad day.

We get it, you really hate scammers and stuff. But like hippocoder said:
There are plenty of other reasons that people would be perm banned on our forums, I honestly don’t see the reason for a blanket statement. If someone is doing illegal things on the asset store, it will catch up to them. I don’t see one real reason to ban someone on the asset store because they’re perm banned on the forums.
I reckon you are referring to the most recent incident, either way, things are usually handled on a case by case basis. Anyone who is banned permanently have had this action executed on their account for very different reasons, this is why the moderators and I have a close relationship.
User who commit copyright infringements through on the Asset Store and display this on the community site are also dealt with on a case by case basis, with collaboration form the Community team and the Asset Store team. There cannot be one rule to rule them all.
