Hi here :).
Can anyone here tell me why version 3 is not ‘down convertible’? It’s normal for new versions of other programs? Here I think especially of the many fine version 2 demos there can not run on version 3, why?

It’s not normal, in fact Unity is quite a bit more compatible between versions than many other engines, which are essentially re-written from scratch (think Unreal 2 vs. Unreal 3). If there’s a better way to do things, it makes more sense to fix it between major versions, where some breakage is expected, rather than being stuck with old baggage forever.

@Eric5h5 thanks for answers, I understand.
I was not aware that there was such a great difference between the 2 versions.
So I only have one problem back in this case… How I can figure out what tutorial I can use with associated assets packages for version 3? So I’m not stuck with a project doomed to ‘destruction’ before I started, that’s not a especially happy situation for a beginner.
