So Internet Explorer 9 beta has been released, has anyone tested it and what’s your view on it?

i won’t touch it (if i could run it). (is bloatware, embedded in an OS ==bad thing, insecure features added, still not keeping to the w3c standards 100% so i read from reliable sources)
It seems to be faster and more supporting of HTML 5 stuff, however not entirely apparently. Speed has been improved. And honestly I think it looks pretty cool.
Meh, doesn’t sound bad, if if wasn’t I don’t really need a new explorer, I’d give it a shot. I think we stopped needing new web brosers a long time ago, yet they keep coming… and to me they just look slightly different each version.
Most of my life I’ve been using IE. Mostly because it already comes with windows, it has all I require to browse the internet(which isn’t to say a lot… forward, backwards, refresh), and I think you can’t uninstall it anyway, so I might as well use it.
Then my friends showed up… they convinced me that firefox was freaking awesome, it was much faster and stable. Same for chrome.
So god knows why I switched to chrome one day. Now I kind of always use chrome, but only because I got used to it. But it isn’t as fast and stable as my friends told me, I dont even know why did I listen to them. I don’t recall IE ever crashing on me. Yet with chrome, there has been a couple of times that closed/restarted on me, letting me know ‘ophs… I crashed’ or something. Oh, and there’s the thing with unity web player… if I stray to another tab/window when the game finish loading, an error pops up. I think all this browser thing is all about marketing u__u

IE is still the web-designers nightmare, why can’t they follow wc3!? :evil:
I have Firefox, Chrome and IE 9 (now) on my pc and I have to use them all because I’m doing a website project which requires it. Chrome is what I use for anything else though.
At least IE now has a minimalistic design and seems to want to try not be the monkey’s ass for once.
Chrome and Safari is much, much faster than Firefox on my computer, but for me it has never been about speed. Firefox is just that much better in my mind that I won’t touch the other browsers. The address line is so good in Firefox I barely ever use any other feature like Google or bookmarks to find what I need.
Sadly I have IE6, 7, 8, (soon 9), Chrome, Safari, Opera and Firefox on my computer because I bear the curse of the web designer. 
I use Chrome for normal browsing, since it’s nice and fast. Use the IE Tab plugin for a couple of sites that need ActiveX controls.
I use Firefox for web development, because Firebug is just win.
I tend not to touch IE if I can avoid it. Haven’t messed with 9, I’ll check it out when Windows Update force-feeds it to my system.
I’ve heard a lot of good things about IE9. I haven’t tried it yet though. But I’m curious to get the impressions of people who have actually tried it since it’s supposed to be quite a significant upgrade from previous versions of IE.
I switched to it so I could type from IE9, it looks a whole lot cleaner, however what’s happening underneath with regards to its ability to stick to w3c’s rules I do not know. It is also a whole lot faster than it used to be I think although I haven’t used IE in a long time because it’s just a less acceptable browser in my books.
Loads pages pretty quick, they added the ability to search straight from the address bar eventually and they have a new super quick Javascript engine.
They also added hardware acceleration so that is the speed increase.
