Virus - Hack ?

Hi, when i try to download Unity 3 on this link : http://unity3d.com/unity/download/
My antivirus “avast!” detect this : Win32:Zlob-CCV [Trj]
and stop the downloading …

Some other people has the same problem than me ?
Should i download it ?

has no virus according the 2 AV guards on my system and Windows Defender

Avast is known to react strangely to files that are not viruses.

i have Norton 360, and it is a very strict security that tells if downloaded material is safe or not, and it said unity3 IS safe.

I would suggest that when you run into a false positive like this, you upload the suspect file to Virus Total (they offer a simple “send to” explorer extension for windows that makes this easy), and they’ll scan the file using pretty much every major antivirus engine available and return the results to you, so you can see just how terrible your security software really is.

Don’t put all of your trust in one product like this, especially anything with the “Norton” brand on it. No program can tell you for sure if what you’re downloading is “safe”, unless you’re willing to run it sandboxed (and in a virtual machine, ideally) and monitor its actions very very closely.

The number one threat to most people’s security is not from virus infection these days, but from trojans/keyloggers and similar that will probably only be detected through a good HIPS/firewall combination after they’ve already been installed.

My money is on Unity being safe, Avast being as awful as it ever was at false positives, and your heuristic settings being too high. You can find information on Zlob on Wikipedia, and you should check it out as it’s possible (although unlikely) that you were already infected by this and the alert when downloading Unity was a coincidence, or triggered by the existing infection. Zlob is a trojan, not a virus.
