visable object no matter how far a way

Is there a way i can have an object visable no matter how far away? Becuase I was making a space game where u can go to the moon but during night on earth u would be able to see to moon (which is basicly just a sphere gameobject in the distance). However i dont wont the player to have to have a infinte render distance(cause it will lag) and i dont want the moon the visable if in object is in the way!

Objects that are effectively infinitely distant (moon, stars, etc) should go into the skybox texture or into a custom skybox camera/scene.
