visual studio 2012 debug shader result is black screen

I follow the steps above,(recommended using vs 2013,but I choose 2012 because I dont install win8 on my pc).
when I am ready to debug the released stanlone exe, the window opened but there is nothing ,only a black screen.
anyone has a simular experience?

the document shows a sample of surface shader. but my code is vertex and fragment shader when I switch back to surface shader everything is ok again. ---------is this the problem?
