Visual Studio doesn't recognise any Unity namespaces

So I installed Unity 2017 onto my new windows 64 bit system.

Now when I open a script I have no access to any of the Unity namespaces. Also, when I click Edit/Preferences/External tool , the external script editor dropdown does not show VS or Monodevelop as before.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hey, this solution is a great work-around so thanks a lot but am still keen to solve the VS issue if anyone has any ideas?

Good day.

At visual studio, under the name of the file, it should say you project name. If it says “miscelaneous files” it will not recognise unity libraries.

Look for a tutorial for solve this.
