Is it my imagination or are the latest builds of Visual Studio for Mac buggy as @!#$%*?
I’m running 8.3.10(build 2) and the most basic functions (e.g., change variable or function name, undo, redo, format code) simply stop working, forcing me to restart the app.
Half-considering moving over to Windows.
I’m using the same build and while I’ve seen a little flakiness I haven’t run into those issues. The consistent issue I’ve had for a while is that bookmarks don’t work at all. (Mojave 10.14.6)
Thanks for the feedback. I did a bit of googling and found another thread regarding VS Mac instability and bugs. The consensus was to use JetBrains Rider. Been using the trial version of Rider for a day or so and really like it. Will have to pay after 30 days but it’s cheaper and less time-consuming than buying a Windows PC etc.
It’s a nightmare for me, too. Visual Studio basically only sometimes starts at all. Sometimes it will remove or duplicate arbitrary lines when autoformatting code and messing up undo so you can’t even go back.
I switched over to JetBrains Rider. $ required but worth it.
