I just opened unity 2018 and want to open a script I also just installed vs 2018 yet when I open it my computer acts like visual studio was never installed

Configure the Unity Editor to use Visual Studio as follows:

In Unity, go to

Unity > Preferences > External Tools > External Script Editor > Drop-down menu > Choose Visual Studio
