I have had this issue on and off for years, but recently it seems to have gotten so much worse. I will be working normally, and out of the blue visual studio will either fail to connect with no error or give me an error saying “An unspecified error occurred” when I try to attach the Visual Studio debugger to Unity.
I have tried troubleshooting the known issues, to no avail.
The only thing that seems to work 100% of the time is to uninstall and re-install the Unity editor version I am using as well as run a repair installation of Visual Studio and restart my computer.
Yesterday I had to do this process and today, after waking my computer from sleep, the issue is occurring again!
Please tell me how I can get an actual error message for this issue, view logs, or anything! It is extremely disruptive to my workflow and is a total pain in the butt!
