The UGS pricing website mentions “Contact us to get started”, however in the UGS dashboard → Multiplayer → Vivox section it is mentioned that up to 5000 peak concurrent users are included in the free tier. What is now valid, is it the 5000 pcu? And does it really mean you can have 5000 people playing your game with voice at the same time for free?
Hello!
Yes your understanding of the current billing is correct. Right now you can have up to 5000 users logged into Vivox before being billed. So, if you have less than 5000 users logged in simultaneously, you won’t be charged.
NOTE: This is logged in, not joined to channel. Even if a user isn’t actively speaking into a channel, they will still count towards your total if they are using your game/app and are logged into Vivox services.
We also thank you for bringing this bug to our attention! I will contact our Unity Dashboard team and have them look into this issue. We apologize for the inconvenience!
The pricing calculator is now fixed, thank you
@MiTschMR I’m glad to hear its working for you now! Thanks again for catching this bug!
@HernandoNJ I’m sorry to hear its not working for you on Microsoft Edge. I’ll pass this information along to our team!
@HernandoNJ We are unable to reproduce the issue you are seeing with Microsoft Edge. Do you know if you are using the latest version of the browser? If not, could you try updating and see if the issue persists?
It should work in any version of the browser, to be fair. All browsers at this point are well battle tested in commerce. Fix your software.
I can’t find the Calculator above … just want to confirm : if I have 10,000 Peak users , how much I will pay :
- $2000 (pay for user 5,001 to 10,000)
- or $4000 (pay for all 10,000 users)
