Volume buttons don't work on android build. How do I fix it?

I couldn’t find anyone else with this problem, but if it was already answered, please redirect me! Thank you!

In Unity 2019.4.15f1 with the input system imported, the volume buttons don’t work when I create a build and try to run it on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro with MIUI version 12.0.1 and android 11. They work fine in any other application and on the homescreen, but not in my app. I did not write any code that disables or captures the volume buttons.

Did you figure out how to fix it?

Experiencing the same problem with newer android devices like Samsung Galaxy S20+, works fine in Redmni Note 9S and older.

After MIUI updated a few times, it now works. I have no idea what could’ve happened.
