Any answer?
Looking at the product i suspect the drivers allow it to act like a second screen, with some processing to provide a 3d depth look.
Probably also as montion dection built in so the camera can move left or right with head movement.
But to be sure would need to know what was needed to specifically address the glasses, but I suspect it is just another screen.

any info on this I’m wanting to have a play, I noticed the iWear VR920 which I’v seen mention a few time on the forums here, is now discontinued
Vuzix | Heads-Up, Hands-Free AR Smart Glasses ,
they now seem to do a range branded “wrap” is the Wrap 920 the equivalent,

So do these devices just come in as a standard input (like a game controller) or would I need to try and script something/has this been done?
any info appreciated
Hi mikevanman, thanx for the info,
I guess I’m going to save my cents to buy the new one, or sell the old one hehe.
BTW, it’s not a controller, you need to make some scripting in orden to make it work with unity… stay tuned I’ll post some code to make it work (or the plugin I’m working on) in some weeks…'till then!
WRap 1200 now available!
First, a brief introduction. I’m Ron Haidenger with Vuzix Corporation. I am responsible for our Developer Program and I am our virtual and augmented reality evangelist.
I just joined the Unity3D forum and came across this thread so I felt I should say hello. I don’t wish to hijack the thread but please feel free to drop me a PM if you have questions and I’ll start a separate thread on our eyewear products.
I plan to develop AR-application using Vuzix 920AR. Are there any drivers to support iWear CamAR camera with Android? Do Vuzix 920AR can work with such Samsug Galaxy Tab tablets? How does the 3D camera is connected?
There may be some confusion with the product names arada - I’ll try to clarify.
You refers to two products, the iWear CamAR and a “Vuzix 920AR”. The iWear CamAR is an AR expansion camera exclusively for the Vuzix “iWear 920”, a video eyewear product that is discontinued. As this product is discontinued, no further development efforts are directed toward expanding it connectivity options.
The “Vuzix 920AR” might also refer to our “Wrap 920AR”, a product that is still very much alive and doing well. Vuzix is wiring on an HDMI interface that will enable devices with HDMI video out to connect to and display their video on certain Wrap models, including the Wrap 920AR. In addition to the upcoming HDMI, the Wrap 920 and 1200 models (including STAR 1200) will have video in connectivity solutions for HDMI, VGA, component and composite. These connectivity options will be the primary factor in identifying compatible devices.
The camera(s) on all Vuzix AR models connect separately through a dedicated USB 2.0 connection. They are seen by the host device, such as a Windows based PC, as a standard USB web cam.
