VR template vs 3d template

Hello, I hope everyone is doing well. I am about to start a rather large VR project and I am trying to find the best way to go about it and I haven’t been able to find much on my own. What is the main difference between the VR template and the 3D template? I have looked around and to me it seems like most people are using the 3d model template rather than the VR, including when doing VR games or apps. What are the pro/cons of each / are there significant differences in the two? Which one has more support? Thank you.

Basically the VR templet adds some Oculas and Windows Mixed reality presets so you don’t have to while the 3D templet gives you control of adding those yourself I’m not sure the VR templet is even in new Unity versions as it didnt do much differently from the 3D template as far as I know.
