I’ve just released VRoom on the Play Store. It’s a 2 player Pong game in VR using an AR Marker to control the panel.
I was aiming to make a conceptual VR game that was totally analogous and I think it works pretty well, but this is very unpolished and aimed pretty much at VR curious developers.
And of course it’s FREE as there is absolutely no market for it, you and a friend both need a Dive, (although maybe a Cardboard would do) and access to a printer to print off the AR marker, which is waaaay to much to ask of an ordinary consumer.
When the game launches you will see 2 buttons, HOST and CONNECT, 1 of you should HOST and the other CONNECT, the networking is very basic but works most of the time. Once you’re connected you’ll be positioned in the room and the ball will appear, place your phone in the Dive landscape left (if you haven’t already). Finally, hold your marker in front of you, you should see a virtual representation of the Marker, this is your pong panel, the counter is your ‘health’ and every time the ball hits your wall you lose a point.
It’s also fun to watch other people play.
Enjoy!
